Fall Private Lessons

A PRIVATE LESSON is a one on one approach to learning how to ice skate.  

Our instructors are ready to customize a training plan specifically geared towards your skater. 

Private lessons are helpful to beginners, group lesson students who may not be catching on as quickly as their classmates, or for the more advanced group lesson or Aspire skater who wishes to accelerate their skill development. 

Private lessons are necessary for any skater who intends to compete and/or take advanced USFS skating tests.   

-Private lesson coaching rates vary by coach. 

-All Bayonne Blades coaches are Learn to Skate USA certified.  

-The coach's fee is due weekly at the start of each lesson.   If a private lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, payment is due for missed lesson.

-All Bayonne Blades private lesson skaters must pay the $30 annual registration fee.

-There is a flat fee for the full session of ice that the lesson is taking place upon.  The fee varies depending upon whether the skater is enrolled in group lessons, Aspire or is taking a private lesson without being part of the group program.  See categories/rates for each below.

-There are no makeups for this ice. 

-Should your coach be needed to cover a group lesson class, a credit that days ice will be given.

FALL TUESDAYS:   9/13, 9/20, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 11/29   

FALL FRIDAYS:  9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 12/2   

Private Lesson Students who are NOT taking a Bayonne Blades Group Lesson or Aspire Class:   Contact bayonneblades@gmail.com for availability, instructor's rates, and to secure the instructor, day and time of the private lesson.  

Once the instructor, day and time have been agreed upon, please download registration form below and send the $30 annual registration fee (for 7/1/2022-6/30/2023) and 

$135 Tuesday Spring private lesson ice fee for 11 hour hour slots or the $135 Friday Spring private lesson ice fee for 11 half-hour slots to:  Bayonne Blades, 827 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne, NJ 0002.

Bayonne Blades Group Lesson Students, taking lesson on included group lesson practice ice:   Private lessons will be available during your group lesson practice slot.  

Contact bayonneblades@gmail.com for availability, instructor's rates, and to secure the instructor, day and time of the private lesson.    Since the private lesson will take place on ice that is included with your group lesson, and your annual registration fee will be paid with your group lesson registration, you will not pay the ice fee, the only cost will be the private lesson instructor's fee, which is due weekly at the start of the lesson.    

Bayonne Blades Aspire Students AND Group Lesson students taking a private lesson on ice that is not included in their Aspire or Group Lesson session:   Contact bayonneblades@gmail.com for availability, instructor's rates, and to secure the instructor, day and time of the private lesson.  

Since the private lesson will take place on ice that is not included with your Aspire or group lesson session, the additional cost for the ice will be $110 for the Tuesday Spring session (11) half hour slots or $110 for the Friday Spring session (11) half hour slots which should be paid when registering for the Fall Aspire or Group Lesson program.
